Can a simple wordpress website integrate with Open EMR. What is the best practice?
The short answer is probably yes.
But it really depends on what you mean by “integrate”.
For example. Do you want to be able to follow a link on your website that opens up the employee interface to login to open emr?
Do you want to be able to follow a link on your website that directs a patient to the patient portal?
Do you want to have data from open emr’s database display in parts of your existing website without out using the open emr gui?
Are you just wanting host open emr on the same server that your wordpress install is on?
The answer to you question will depend on specifically what it is that you want to do. If you can elaborate on your end goal you’ll get answers that make more sense.
OpenEMR had a wordpress integration at one point which I think was developed and maintained by @sunsetsystems but I’m not sure its been updated recently.
