Most lists are self-explanatory. But others are obscure. Please clarify the why & what of these lists: Clinical Rules-why in a table? ** Clinical Rules Filter Method- why filter, where filtered in OpenEMR? Clinical Rule Target Method- why listed? How it changes operation of OpenEMR? If part of a search, where is that query function in OpenEMR? Clinical Rule Inactivation Options- where is a clinical rule (in)activated in OpenEMR? Why (in)activated? Fee Sheet- Issues (CPT) have associated diagnoses (ICD9). When would you delete the CPT with the delete X provided? That is, enter diagnoses with no issue? Just a definition statement of these lists would be helpful. The key question for each is, how it changes the way OpenEMR works. Newbie to health-care, so clarifying examples or clinical situations especially welcome.

These lists are utilized by several different mechanisms. Recommend ensuring you fully comprehend a list and its function before modifying them.
The Clinical Rule lists are utilized within the Clinical Decisions Rules (CDR) engine and the Clinical Decisions Rule (CDR) GUI. For example, the Clinical Rules list is simply to store the titles (ie what the user sees) of the clinical rules. Target Method are utilized as “labels” within the CDR GUI when choosing a Target Method (the ID is stored in database but user sees the title; this also allows internationalization). The inactivation options list is utilized by the Clinical Reminders (also part of the CDR) as labels for outcomes for the Clinical Reminders.
