Situation
I installed Openemr on my personal computer (NOT server machine) successfully. But is tooooo slow to work.
- Do I need a server machine to run openemr locally?
- I will try AWS and do I still need a server machine, or any laptop or desk will work?
… sorry, I am new user.

Browser:
I’m using: chrome
Operating System
I’m using: 64-bit OS windows 8.1 ---- low end computer

thanks a lot
System 76 offers the Merekat which is a pretty powerful device for a little more than $500. What is the size of your patient database?
Thank you @growlingflea.
I don’t have much large patient database as a specialty.
Is Meerkat a server machine?
Do I need to buy it to run OpenEMR locally or for AWS or Google cloud?
thx a lot.
@stephenwaite
yes I did but cannot run as possible on a wrong machine.-- very slow.
thx
The Merekat would be a local machine.
@stephenwaite, thanks a lot.
I will try one more time to install in another local machine - a new HP laptop with i5 2.7Ghz processor, 4GB RAM, 64-bit OS.
Can I run XAMPP in another machine?
Thanks

@stephenwaite, etc
Hi Stephen and all.
Thank you all for the help. Finally I got the openemr running fast enough in my laptop.
One thing is strange:
When I click Calendar, it won’t show up until I click its refresh button. But if I click Calendar refresh at the first time, calendar will show in one second.
What is the problem?
thx
No this problem in Chrome, but only in IE.
thx
