Starting the discussion on the WENO Cash Card discussion

Robert,
After talking with Tina, here is the proposed solution that should simplify everything.
The Weno eRx service will be provide FREE of charge to all physicians that want to use the system.

What will happen is the incentive funds will be paid to Open Med Practice and the Sponsor. We will in turn donate 15% of those funds to the project on a monthly basis. The rest of the funds will be used to further the development of the code and features of the service.

We have only begun to develop all of the proposed features for the system. I will get a full features list from Tina and post it back here.

Cheers
Sherwin

Just a brief update, we are into our first full month of using the eRx service in the production environment. Dr Thompson is the sponsor of the project and is using it in his practice Fallen Tree in Cameron TX.

Posted the cash card that Tina was speaking about in the wiki
http://open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/OpenEMR_ePrescribe#eRx_Savings_Card

The cash card as is sounds as if it is for people that use cash and not insurance to purchase prescription medicine. There is no signup or membership fee. Print out the card and use it at any participating pharmacy. There is a web address and 800# on the card to find participating pharmacies.
