Unable to resolve date format in Patient Portal

I have been unable to update the portal date format from YYYY-MM-DD to the American standard MM-DD-YYYY. I just updated to 7.0.1 and for whatever reason I am still seeing the YYYY-MM-DD format and not the MM-DD-YYYY.

Over all, OpenEMR is incredible! We plan on making a contribution for all the hard work that has been accomplished over the years.

have you tried setting the format in admin/locale - ‘Date Display Format’ allows one to specify the date format

Actually that option was set correctly. The issue is with the portal registration Date format.

There are places in portal that don’t follow locale.
