welcome @Mandrake!

it’s working for me on this demo

just created credentials for Wanda (you have to use a different browser for the portal if you’re logged into the EMR at the same time, say firefox for the emr and that non-free google browser for the portal )

I also turned off the global requiring the username on the portal login that’s named Enforce E-Mail in Portal Log On Dialog

Make sure patient has email for trusted and contact to be safe. Also ensure allow email is yes.
Assume you create credentials from demographics so make sure you save in the popup. Some folks forget and just grab the credentials but main thing is patient email.

Thanks for the help. It is working now. I was also using the account name instead of the Login User Name.

Appreciate your help.

Hello!

In my local setup for 1 of an existing patient when creating Patient Portal access I am able to update their email address for Trusted Email and Contact email under Demographics, then save the details. Revisiting Demographics to update the Allow Patient Portal and Allow Email under Choices to Yes allows to create/reset credentials but it doesn’t show the Login user name.

Kindly check the screenshot attached. However, this worked for another patient where I followed same steps to first update contact and then Choices, then creating credentials.

Any suggestions on where to look for issues on creating the credentials for patient portal?

Issue resolved.

I had to update the value in column portal_login_username in patient_access_onsite table for this patient.
