Trying to see who else uses OpenEMR in California

We have been evaluating OpenEMR for use in a student clinic. We like what we see so far but I was wondering if OpenEMR used in our general area. If not, maybe a listing of well known entities in the US?

Jim,
As you can see from open-emr.org web site organizations like Peace corps uses OpenEMR. Also, there are educational institutions and university hospitals uses OpenEMR.
I am sure there are many more out there but I am NOT aware of a central place that has all the OpenEMR users.

Thank you visolve. I saw that and also impressed with OpenEMR contributions for providers in Hurricane Maria. Some time last year, I thought ran across some info. Now that I think about it, it might have been the VA solution.

I work with a pediatric facility that uses OpenEMR in California. One of the custom modules I wrote submits immunization information to CAIR. Its a project that is always improving. Is this something your organization would be interested in?

My customer’s version of OpenEMR has forked significantly from the community version. Let me know if you would like to know more.

Unfortunately, due to the open-source nature of the project, it is difficult to create a centralized list of who uses OpenEMR. Posting on this thread is likely the best way to find out.

Thank you Robert. I hope to see more responses. Disclaimer: I don’t have any ulterior motives such as employment or selling anything. lol

Hi Jim-

I’m Daniel’s client in Lake Forest (middle of Orange County), if you ever want to see how it works for us, we could arrange for you to spend some time in our office.

Wow thank you James. I’m not sure if I could take you up on that amazing offer. I have a baby on the way. I see myself pretty close to home for a while. haha

I believe Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona is also an OpenEMR user, perhaps someone else can confirm.
