Tracking completion of pre-authorized treatments by Insurance

Is there a way to enter and track the completion of treatments that have been authorized by Insurance.

So for example a patient’s insurance company authorizes 5 treatments of one or more procedures. We would need to enter these into the system and track the completion of these treatments within 1 or more encounters and have the attached notes, treatment date etc… so we can submit the information to the insurance company.

From what I can tell, there is no direct support for this. However, there is a workaround of adding a special insurance that has a fixed duration of the prior auth, but even that appears to be marginal. You may want to have your internal programmers or one of the contract programmers on this site create custom code for this.
