Hi,
Every week I am seeing 1 or 2 patients randomly appear in the Flow and my staff are saying they didn’t update it.
Is there anywhere I can verify how that data is changing?
Thanks.

That’s what the log viewer is for. Search for activity on those patients and see who’s doing it and when. Keep in mind that some operations in patient flow are triggered automatically, so if clinical staff does one thing that can cause the system to take further actions. Beware that if you have a large amount of log data, searching the activity logs can have a negative effect on overall system performance.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I’ve checked the logs and there is nothing logged for that day for the affected patients.
Are changes in the Flow board recorded to the logs by default?
Is there somewhere that someone may have disabled logging of that data?
I also have an issue where we created appointments for 30 test patients.
And on the day it was scheduled, 3 of the test patients disappeared from the calendar and nothing in the logs either.
Possible… but it should still have something in the logs?
I don’t know if this is possible, but would a repeating appointment automatically put somebody on the calendar ?
Another thing to check would be some of the reports OpenEMR provides on appointments and encounters: when an appointment drops off the calendar is it still shown in one of the reports?
Just thinking…
Excellent suggestion… but nothing useful from there so far
I’ve also tried uploading documents to the document list for patients… and the logs have no record of that activity.
Is there a way to modify what information is logged?
I’ve done some additional testing uploading files and deleting them from the patient’s documents and there is no log of either activity.
@Puff
You’re asking dev- type questions I can’t answer. However, my 30 years of general computer experience permits me to say that the OpenEMR system logs will log whatever you tell them to log. So if your IT Pro is competent in OpenEMR coding, they can modify the logs to track what you want.
Also I can say that what you’re looking for probably goes beyond the scope of the advice that is offered for free- gratis here on the forum. If you really need these coding changes you might want to locate a certified OpenEMR dev.

Good luck!
hi @Puff , did you checkout the settings in the Admin->Config->Logging page?
Thanks for that handy tip @stephenwaite I need to remember that!
