It seems to work. I am running a program that monitors the three OpenEMR forums on sourceforge.net and posts a link and some info for any new posts (within 10 minutes) to Twitter. I currently have it posting to openemr and markleeds on Twitter. You can follow at:
or use your twitter account and follow openemr and even set phone alerts if you want to.
