Is there a way to have dashboards open for multiple patients at the same time?
Let’s say three different dashboard tabs open for three different patients? I feel like we should be able to do this but I can’t seem to figure it out. When I open a patient from my calendar view, it opens their dashboard tab, but if I click another patient from my calendar view, that dashboard tab is overwritten with the new patient. I’d like to be able to keep multiple patient dashboards open and then be able to switch between them as needed.

Harley here, I’m not a dev but I’ve done customer support for OpenEMR for a while and I’ve seen a little of this in the past.
OpenEMR doesn’t support multiple patient tabs open at the same time, something to do with it dropping text out of the clip board from one patient’s tab onto another’s?
Beyond that I can’t say why it happens, just that when a dev jury rigs the EMR code to allow it, bad things happen HIPAA- wise.
What I do to achieve this is to use different browsers! I log in to Chrome, Edge and even Firefox with the same user account and I cann access 3 different patients and their dashboards.
Of course you have to make do with switching from one web browser to another, but you can do this with a keyboard shortcut quickly.
