Syndromic Surveillance in the new versions of OpenEMR

How do you create a syndromic surveillance report in the latest version of OpenEMR. Older instructions posted on this site do not work.

Hi,

The current official place is in the Care Coordination module. At Administration->Modules.

Brady: Thanks. I don’t have a sub-menu modules under Administration. I do have a Menu named Modules. When I click on that menu, the window is blank.

Brady: It looks like I am using version 4.2.0.

Thank you!

Hi,

I was incorrect. The Modules menu item is what I meant.

I think you may be stuck if in 4.2.0. As I recall, I think the old syndromic surveillance report only supports ICD9 codes, and the Care Coordination module is not available in 4.2.0. To use the Care Coordination module, need to upgrade to 4.2.1. And also need to set up Zend to work(which is why you get the white screen):
