Site ID is missing from session data! 2021 Version 6.0.0(1)

Hi @lulu3507o ,

Two things to try to see if can isolate whether your browser or your server is causing the problem.

  1. Try doing the same things on the demo with your Firefox browser: https://www.open-emr.org/demo/

  2. Try using Chrome instead of Firefox on your OpenEMR installation

  1. I edited some soap note on the demo copy and let it sit overnight.

This morning, it logged itself out and shows the login screen.

  1. I installed a fresh Chrome on Ubuntu 18.04 server and did the SOAP edit

on the sole tab of openEMR, and let it sit overnight.

This morning, I tried to open the note and I get the same error:

Thing is this happens during the active editing and I lose all the note I type in.

hi @lulu3507o, demos reset overnight and the default timeout is 2 hrs so that’s expected behavior, please try again on the demos and/or with chrome without letting it sit for more than 2 hours or whatever your idle time in the globals is set to, thank you

I know about the demo and I wanted to see it behaving as expected.

I changed the timeout of my copy back to 2 hours, let it sit a bit,

and clicked the edit button for the soap note and got the same error.

Thank you for all the help so far. I might need to buy the cheapest

but probably more stable EMR than this opensource piece, as

I need to be responsible for my patients. I really don’t want to depend on

other commercial software to manage clinical records but I don’t think openEMR

is mature/stable enough to use it yet. I will try different server-openEMR

set up, this time just as a command line server, perhaps 20.14 and try it

until it works without error for a few months, before I start using it for

a production.

ok, be glad to help you troubleshoot more since pretty sure this can be resolved as OpenEMR is very stable and mature, being used in thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands production environments around the world for going on twenty years

what version of firefox btw?

I have spent many days and sleepless nights since last July installing many different

Linux server/desktop and openEMR combinations, so finally after setting it up for

a real use, with external datasets, I thought it would work but I need more time

to make it stable for production. I haven’t given up. I know as far back as VA Vista

open source efforts, many failed, but with this openEMR sweats and tears, there will be time

that a truly free easy EMR would be available for all small clinics in the world.

for $5/mo

Hi @stephenwaite Is issue resolved ? or still I need to work on this.

hi @Nilesh_Hake, couldn’t reproduce the issue on the demos.

Not resolved. Demos are fine. It’s me and my Ubuntu setup.
And I moved on to AWS, which is really

$20 for real world use, because of HIPAA.
Not that I am complaining.

Thanks.

@lulu3507o $20 a month is a lie thats if you use the express version which is not HIPAA compliant for HIPAA compliance you need to use the standard version and that would cost you roughly $100-150 a month.

I am using the express version for my POC and I had to change it to a ec2 small instance cause it could not handle hitting the API that much with it’s limited ram.

Just something to know before you go expecting a $20 bill and AWS hits you with a $200 one

express plus is hippa elig, prob closer to $50

@stephenwaite Nice to know thanks :+1:

Hi Kim, no way to solve this error: "site ID is missing from session data! when we want to add a user?

hello @brady.miller Brady,

This is working fine with demo version.
But not working on my Openemr installation.

Whenever I login and immediate refresh, it bring me back to login screen.
But this is not happening with demo version.

Can you please tell what changes i need to make so that it can work similar to demo .

How can we access Token_main ?

I can see one token in storage, is there any way to decrypt it?
