Session initialisation failed

anonymous wrote on Thursday, April 06, 2006:

I am attempting to install OpenEMR 2.8.1 on SUSE 10.
Once I log in I get a "Session initialisation failed" message on the main screen, but everything else seems to work correctly.

I know there have been other posts on this forum about this problem, but none of them seem to come to any conclusion on how to fix the problem. Does any one have any ideas about what could be wrong?

Thanks,
   Michael

I am using mod_php4 4.4.0 with php-session installed and mysql version 4.1.13 with apache2 2.0.54

Michael

Had the same prob with Suse 10

Rod gave the solution a little while back & it fixed my install.

Edit /etc/php.ini & change the include_path from "/usr/shar/php" to ".:/usr/share/php"

Restart apache2 & the front calendar should init.

Don’t forget to up the settings for max file size, uploads & memory limits as well.

Good luck

Phil

Thank you for your help, that solved my problem.
I had already made the changes you suggested but had not restarted apache2.

Thank you for the response. I’m running Win10, these options don’t seem to work for me
