Sample database

I’m investigating using external reporting tools with openemr, and I need a large sample database to use.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don’t have a database but would be interested in which tool you are evaluating.   I have Jaspersoft loaded on my test system to see if it will work for some of my reporting needs.

I’m looking at two reporting tools right now:

Wabit                                                  http://www.sqlpower.ca/page/wabit
Datavision                                         http://datavision.sourceforge.net/

hey,
Currently just have these small sample data files within the openemr package:
openemr/sql/example_patient_data.sql
openemr/sql/example_patient_users.sql
Having a larger sample set would be very useful. If you do this, we would gladly place it in the openemr codebase.

Thanks Brady.   My demo db may make a good test db when it is finished.

@buddyfrank - Jaspersoft is taking more time than expected as it isn’t as friendly as advertised.
It appears datavision may no longer be active as the last updates were in 2008.  Let me know how wabit works out.

i need sample database for openemr.

Hi,
Several possibilities:
1. Scrape the pertinent tables from the online demo: http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/OpenEMR_Demo
2. Use the example_patient_data.sql and example_patient_users.sql scripts in the sql directory
3. Use the PrintaPatient data generator; details of this program can be found here: http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/OpenEMR_Tools

Hi Brady

Re the 3rd option: Would there be a way to get the open source for this data generator?
We are currently trying to insert entries in an RTL language.

Being able to manipulate the generator with our language checks would be more than awesome.

Thanks,
Erez

Hi Erez,

This is Art’s project, so not sure. Art, is the code for this available?

Thanks Brady, let me know if it would be better to contact Art directly (I revived a 2012 discussion re this)…

What information do you need in the sample database?
