S3 vs Server Storage

Hi All,

Could you please share your suggestions on the best approach for storing documents for each site?

Should we store the documents in AWS S3, or should we keep them on the same server, using a site-specific document directory?

For example:

  • AWS S3: Separate folder/bucket structure for each site
  • Server: Separate document directory for each site(that OpenEMR have)

Please share your thoughts on which approach would be better in terms of security, scalability, backup, performance, and maintenance.
