Printing Dosage Labels for Drugs

Hello all,

We use OpenEMR in a small clinic set up, where the doctor will prescribe drugs, and they will be dispensed by our in house pharmacy. I have set up the following areas:

  • Under inventory management, I have managed to put in all the medications that we stock
  • We are able to input all the ‘Prescriptions’ in the individual patient area.
  • When saving a prescription, we usually save it, or save and dispense.
    The issue we are having is that the prescription does get saved. however, at the point of pressing ‘Save and Dispense’, there is no pop up for printing the label.

I have ensured that pop ups are allowed in the browser, and also ensure that the system has enough inventory before going through with this process.

We have just upgraded to OpenEMR 5.0.0, prior to which we were using 4.2.0 (where we still had this same problem).

Hello ps14,

We did check with our OpenEMR 5.0 ( patch 3) and it works fine.
Could you please check your apache or browser console error log to find the error?
Also check that you are having the valid Drug ID under prescriptions.
Please share the screen shot if you receive any error messages in logs .
