Hi
I would like to print prescriptions with dosing instructions in Urdu. At present my prescription is entirely in English with a few bits in Urdu. I got the Urdu bit in by saving those bits as .jpg files and modifying C_prescription.class.php in /openemr/controllers/.
What I would like to have is a way to monitor the signature file in the prescription file which would then attach an appropriate .jpg file to that drugs prescription.
I use Ubuntu 9.04 and openemr 3.1.0. Any help would be much appreciated.
hey,
Sounds like you need a Urdu translations (the html precription print option was created specifically to allow printing of languages that require utf-8 characters, such as Urdu). We have a collaborative google doc for our translations, and I’d be glad to give you access if you want to work on a Urdu translation; you could always jsut start with the words/phrases that need to be translated in the prescription. I plan to publish the translations 1-2 times per month in the format of sql tables that are very easy to bring into your local OpenEMR.

Hmmm, went through the links. As it is I do not use Urdu for anything else. Everything else is in English, so there’s not much point in translating the whole thing. I did translate the prescriptions bit, it works beautifully except that there is a problem with right to left encoding. What I need to be able to do is to be able to modify the placement of the elements of the prescription so that when read in Urdu it would make sense.
Hope I made myself clear.
