PID's - Migrating from Access DB

I am planning on migrating my patient demographics and SOAP data from an Access DB when we go live with OpenEMR-2.8.3.  The PID’s in our Access db start at “1001.”

Is there any harm in keeping this numbering sequence or should I re-number at "1" when importing into Open EMR?  The only reason why I would keep the old numbering sequence is for easier link up to the SOAP data ( The SOAP data in our Access db is in one table.  Where as in OpenEMR I must account for the "Forms" and "Forms_SOAP" tables).

I think it will be fine to start with your existing PIDs.
