Patient Portal Demographic Details

Hello,

A patient is making changes to the demographic details on his profile within the patient portal, the patient sees notification within the portal that the changes are pending review.

However, the patient’s attending physician does not see any message or notification within the portal dashboard (assuming it should be there).

Can you please advise where these demographic profile pending changes should appear, which type of user (physician, admin etc) should see them and what the correct process is?

Thank you

John

@mackenj,
We assume that the working of demographics edit will be as follows.

  1. Patient edits the demographics detail in Patient portal(Able to see the status in dashboard)
  2. On logging into OpenEMR, the corresponding user(physician/admin) can able to view the request for demographics under Miscellaneous->Portal Dashboard

Note:
If Portal Dashboard option is not found, follow the below steps.

  • Login as admin. Move to Administration->ACL
  • Choose the option Groups and Access Controls.
  • If you want physicians to view portal dashboard, Click Physicians-write option and enable the Patient Portal.

Thanks,
ViSolve

Hello @visolveemr

Thank you for the reply and support.

Can you please advise if the modifications should be displayed in the “Audit” section?

If so, it seems as if we have an error message.

DataAdapter (default) Error Selecting SQL: SELECT command denied to user ‘Xxxxcxxxx’@’%’ for column ‘patient_id’ in table ‘onsite_portal_activity’ (retry attempts: 0)

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks

John
