Subject: Re: Regarding Modernization of OpenEMR Wiki Page
Hello Swastika-
I’m curious about specifically how ‘comprehensive focussed documentation’ would look different from what’s there now?

Hi Stephan,
Thank you so much for the thoughtful response, and completely understand the focus on the LEAP grant application!
I appreciate you connecting me with Atul Chaudhari and Harley Tuck.
Atul, I’ve gone through the document you prepared—great work on making it simple and user-friendly for new practitioners.
We would like to collaborate and contribute to expanding this effort further with focus on OpenEMR wiki, especially from the perspective of doing comprehensive focussed documentation.

Swastika,
I’ve been pretty bombarded on our federal LEAP grant application this week, but I want to connect you with Atul Chaudhari who is doing a lot of work with OpenEMR in India and has been pushing forward a documentation initiative for practices getting started. He put this document together for two doctors he’s been training in India.
I would like to take a larger, more comprehensive approach to all of our documentation but I won’t have time to circle back on this until the next week or two, so hopefully the two of you can connect in the interum.
I’ve also copied Harley Tuck on this as he’s done a lot of documentation efforts with the Wiki over many years with OpenEMR.

Hi There,
We would like to help update and modernize the OpenEMR wiki/documentation as the current documentation is old and not aligned with new features of OpenEMR.
I’ve noticed that while the platform continues to evolve rapidly, most of the OpenEMR wiki page items may benefit from restructuring, updated visuals, clarified instructions, and better alignment with current releases and user needs.
In continuation with testing, we are happy to contribute in the following ways:
Reviewing and updating existing content for clarity and accuracy
Enhancing user guide, screenshots, and walkthroughs
Organizing facts for easier navigation
If this aligns with your current priorities or roadmap, I’d be thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with this team to discuss further on this to get started on this.
Please keep posted on how we can proceed ahead.
Regards,
Swastika Pandey
Dear Jerry,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to discuss the OpenEMR Wiki page, which we have noted is outdated. The current screenshots and content no longer reflect the latest features and developments in OpenEMR.
My team has reviewed the existing wiki details, and we would like to hear your thoughts on our proposal to update the Wiki Features page with relevant details and screenshots. Your insights would be invaluable as we proceed.
Thank you, and I look forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
Swastika Pandey
