I am wondering if anyone has customized the UI of OpenEMR to look and feel like other EHR platforms. It will save a lot on employee training and confusion to have a UI that is similar to what they are used to if not identical.

That is a point to be considered, but then again having a different UI makes it easier to remember that ‘this is how it’s done in OpenEMR’. They wouldn’t keep thinking they’re using the other EMR and get confused why it doesn’t work as expected.

It depends on how different the UI is that you want. Tell me, in order to learn how to use the current UI, did you have a lot of training time? Was there a lot of confusion?
