openEMR to Mirth as a HL7 Message

Unfortunately, there is no documentation other than the code itself. There is no sandbox other than what you build. Look in interface/orders. This is where most of the hl7 live.

Hi Sherwin, I know bit late in this thread but its a start. Does openemr out of the box come with an outbound HL7 interface I can broadcast from? Where is this enabled / configured within openemr and is there a default port?

Yes I have written one channel with Mirthconnect import data into OpenEMR using the WebPT application. WebPT use to send the procedure (HL7 DFT) file into Mirth connect server and I have written one channel to import data into OpenEMR. Written channel into JavaScript and provided template as well to get the data.
