OpenEMR Hosting on VPS Servers

Hi People,

We are operating from UK , We are providing support for openemr users for small clinics. We planned to start a hosting unit especially for OpenEMR.

Will OpenEMR work on shared servers (DB and host) ?

We have virtual containers to manage users.

Need some views and ideas to shine  in opensource .

Thanks

OpenEMR is fine with containers and virtual machines.  I’ve done it with OpenVZ, LXC and VMware.

Thanks….

I felt OpenVZ better. Do u have any specific openemr script installer for linux based installations. I mean auto installer on virtual servers.

Even upgrade script will be helpful…

Thanks

Last I checked, OpenVZ was not supporting recent kernels, e.g. was not working with current Ubuntu.  I switched to LXC for that reason.

However if your only reason for containers is OpenEMR, you might want to check my recent updates to current CVS, with support for multiple sites from a single installation.
