Apologies I missed posting last week - most of that call was Stripe-dominated, as a couple reps from Stripe joined to discuss the possibility of leveraging Stripe Connect to simplify payments for OE installations and possibly provide revenue to the foundation. They rejoined today where the discussion continued. There are some open technical questions about the feasibility of this, both from hosting and compliance perspectives (the default behavior of Connect would provide visibility into all connected merchants’ payments, which… isn’t great for this deployment model). There may be some offline comms with the reps to get those questions answered.
Touched on Brady’s recent Docker overhaul and how that will impact (and hopefulyl simplify) the release automation plans. See openemr/docs/release-automation-plan.md at master · openemr/openemr · GitHub for more detail.
We also discussed the release, with a goal of making some final decisions on the scope and timing of the next release at tomorrow’s meeting. TBD on 8.1.x vs 8.2.0. We want to be mindful of how this can impact (and simplify) the adoption of and migration to doctrine/migrations for schema changes.
