Bootstrap - PR #11231 to exit draft later today. Need to make some more docs updates but it’s going to simplify quite a bit of FE build processes and should knock out some security warnings by updating/removing some older dependencies.
Modules/FC/DB/Encryption: work is continuing, there’s a lot to untangle from legacy circular dependencies. Need to reference HTI-5 Proposed Rule Chart - ASTP - Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy.
Release: did 8.0.0.2 without Brady on the call. Spent a lot of time automating into github actions workflows. There are still a number of manual aspects. TBD on next release version; seems like 8.1.0 is preferred but some certification may make naming as 8.0.1 easier. CHPL has some requirements that make this rather persnickety. May explore separating the certification somehow?
CI/Auto-merge: we want to turn this on. Need to reconfigure/tighten up some branch protection rules so that it can be used safely. Still want input from Brady.
