Open EMR Registration problem

Situation
I am facing problem while trying to registration in patient portal. It’s showing There was a problem registering you. Recommend contacting clinic for assistance. this message. I have configured the backend perfectly and added the SMTP configuration.

My system was working fine. But, from the last day it’s showing this message and registration process is not working.

OpenEMR Version
7.0.0 (2)

Browser:
I’m using: Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer.

Operating System
I’m using: Ubuntu 20, Windows 10, Fedora.

Search
Yes, I did not found any relevant solution.

This is a very common question to be posted to the forum but it depends if you have the same version of OpenEMR, or the same configuration as the OP his remedy may be different from yours.

It would be useful to do a search of the forum, like this:

then sort the results by latest post like this:

so you can find the answers for your particular situation and version of OpenEMR. If you can identify specific issues to research come on back to the forum and ask more questions!

Please note that if the problem was solved for the Original Poster their remedy would probably be different than what your remedy would be. The answer to your question requires knowing a lot of additional information about your EMR and how it is configured. The expectation in this forum is that you will provide that information so the forum members can make suggestions. You cannot expect help if you merely say. ‘My EMR does not work.’

Please look through the links I provided and find the relevant items which contribute to the problem and tell how your system is configured.
For example:

  • Reference The OpenEMR 6.0+ Patient Portal - OpenEMR Project Wiki and tell what your configuration settings are.
  • Are you trying to allow patient self- registration from the portal?
  • If so, what are your SMTP settings?
  • What are the email settings for your test patient?
  • Send relevant screenshots.

Hi @htuck thank you for the link you provided i am just a bit confused on this statement from the article

"When a patient self- registers through the portal, a portal- authorized user will see upon logging in to the EMR, an indication of a new message in the widget under their user name. "

When a patient used the portal for self registration and create an account, the account will go for a manual approval first, and once approved that’s the time the patient will receive the he/her access details in the email?
