OEMR Funding an MU Certification

OEMR has received $300 so far in tax deductible donations.  Thank you for the contributions,  there is about the same amount promised as soon as we get the paypal thing setup, hopefully this week.  In the meantime checks can be sent to:

OEMR
c/o Medical Information Integration
11725 SW Springwood Dr
Tigard, Or 97223

We need a minimum of $20K to just pay for certification.   If you are a vendor or a provider that would like their ARRA incentive bonus without paying a commercial company a huge $$ amount then send money.,

It’s that simple.

Thanks

I think you have give some protection to contributors - protection of losing their contribution under the following conditions:

1) MU development does not complete
2) Not enough contributions are collected
3) Does not pass an independent evaluation of certification readiness

The way to do this is have the non profit create and offer a “contribution protection agreement”  to contributiors, with a guarantee to return contributions if either conditions if any of the above conditions occur.  The agreement should require the OpenEMR non-profit to deposit collected funds in an escrow account for potential return on any of the above conditions.

With the protection of such an agreement, I think you will start getting contributions for certification.
