We need to be able to show data integrity on externally provided data, like lab results etc. One easy way to do this is to use the document management process to calculated, store and verify a SHA1 hash key on anything uploaded there. This will work for images, word docs, XML/HL7 files etc and will meet the NIST test for Integrity. While we are there we want to add the ability to rename the document at upload. That has been a frequent requested feature for us. See the wiki page below and post your thought here.
