Newbie to openemr...issues with installation on my pc

I am presently working on getting Paediatricians in my locality to use openemr. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of the software, I would like to run the software on Windows Vista laptop using Pre-installed OpenEMR with the XAMPP Package.
My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC, with Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T2330 @1.60 GHz 1,60GHz , 32-bit Operating System with 2.00GB RAM

I have downloaded the software and have issues installing on my PC. have followed the instructions that came with the download but it came to the part of configuring XAMP with the error message shown below:

Hello

Try pasting your XAMPP mysql error log here, this will help to drill down into the issue. The mysql error log file can be find inside the path xampp/mysql/data/mysql_error.log

Would suggest the following:

  1. Delete entire xampp folder as shown here.
  2. Reinstall package.
  3. Do nothing to xampp.
  4. Turn services on as shown in steps 2 & 3. May not be necessary to place green checks.

Are you able to log in?

If both services are not yet started, not necessary to stop them before deletion of xampp directory in #1 above.
