New Tool to Migrate an Existing OpenEMR Installation to OpenEMR on ECS

Hello all!

OpenEMR on ECS v5.0.0 launched with a new import utility that allows for importing data from an existing OpenEMR installation to OpenEMR on ECS. Cloud migrations can be difficult and this tool was aimed to provide a more managed way to import data from an existing OpenEMR on ECS installation to try to make the experience of migrating an on-premise installation to a highly managed and available cloud setup easier.

This also brings OpenEMR on ECS up to parity with OpenEMR on EKS who’s existing Warp utility allows one to import CCDA directly into an OpenEMR on EKS installation. The Warp utility is what powers ./scripts/deploy-training-openemr-setup.sh ability to create a fully functional OpenEMR on EKS installation populated with the SynPUF OMOP Dataset in a single command-line call so that new operators and users can get acquainted with the experience of OpenEMR on EKS with a setup populated with realistic data. The Warp utility has a modular architecture so if there are other types of imports to OpenEMR on EKS folks are interested in adding the code is designed to be extended to accommodate them.

Hello! The link is correct but unfortunately GitHub itself is having issues right now https://www.githubstatus.com/ and things are not loading properly across many repos.
