New Patient Portal has been brought into the development codebase

Hi,

The new patient portal has been brought into the development codebase. It is really nice and thank you Jerry for huge improvement.

There is some rough documentation here:
http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Patient_Portal#Version_2_Native_Patient_Portal

And it can be tested out on the Development demo:
http://www.open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Development_Demo#Daily_Build_Development_Demo
(note am working on a issue in the development demo to get it to work fully)

Hi,

Fixed a bug in the new patient portal and development demo, so can now test the new patient portal on the development demo:

I’ll post some screenshots here soon.

Here are the promised screenshots of the new patient portal which was written by Jerry:

Hi Brady,

Just checked out the new portal and its superbly awesome. I tested it once long time back when terry told me to try it, but really it has improved a lot over that. Thanks to Jerry and you for developing and incorporating it into openemr, making openemr even more robust.

I guess the patient portal work is still pending, as I am finding few issues -

  1. After I fix appointment from the portal, the time shows to be 0 and in the openemr, the calendar only displays a black line without any info like the patient name and id, which it normally shows when appointments are made within openemr.

  2. There should be a process to approve the appointment before its added to the openemr, just like the demographics edit screen

  3. Please add a new patient registration method in the portal. The new patients should be able to add themselves through the portal and do the initial appointment. This will be pending under review and added by the clinic staff

Thanks and regards
Arnab

Hi Arnab,

Thanks for the input. We have an Issue tracking the patient portal on github along with the TODO list (which already includes fixing the 0 minute appt bug). Feel free to place bugs and feature requests there:
