New field in demographics

Hi
I am currently trying to add a new feild and save it into the database while using php and editing the code but I am not able to do so. It would be very helpful if someone can give me some pointers to do so that I would be able to perform it.

Previously I did add a new field in it using the layout editor and added new columns in db but it does nothing.

hi @Bilal , the layout editor is pretty powerful and will create the new field in the db.

yes but you cannot create a new group it gives you an error of edit_layout file
