This is a great example of the flexibility of OpenEMR & how it is completely unlike cumbersome proprietary software.
However, I agree with the above poster that there are some serious security concerns, hope you are using an encrypted filesystem to store your database & patient documents.

Backup and security are up to the user. I agree it’s important to have a backup scheme, but that’s really not the point of balajimd’s post. Also, regarding security, wouldn’t a simple login password to his/her laptop suffice??? (also, not really the point of balajimd’s post).
