For some reason, I was able to install each component of lamp on a ubuntu virtualbox with no issues and looked up the commands to use for the terminal on google. It seemed straight foreward. I then added openemr to the proper directory and was able to setup a new instance of openemr.
Next I burned an image of Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop to dvd and installed it directly onto another computer. The install went well and my next job was to install each component of lamp. After installing php7.0 and phpmyadmin, I tried to go to localhost/phpmyadmin in firefox…The page lacked a login and only presented a white background with black text, it looked like code and it even had a link to the demo server of phpmyadmin…not sure why this is happening and do not know for sure what to check…Sometimes I wonder if it could be a permissions issue?
Anyways, openemr 4.2.2 is available to download as a package with the lamp components configured for use. My question is, is this package secure? Is it relatively easy to secure the components of lamp? Say compared to clicking buttons in a gui on windows? It seems like the package would be easier to implement but as far as securing it, what would need to be done? Is it already secure? Any help would be appreciated.
