Nation Notes: Adding more Patient Details

I am trying to format templates using Nation Notes in the Based-layout form and would like to know if there is a way to add more of Patient Details in the pulled down list?

I am making templates for work and school excuses (notes), and would like to have a button for today’s date, diagnoses, full name of patient. All these information can be pulled from the patient’s database. I just don’t know how to go about doing this.

If items in the drop down mean Components in NationNotes, it may be easier to use CAMOS. It’s less work and more efficient to have templates generated there.

Templates are files in template directory. But you use the letter form to create, maintain and print the letters. It is one of several hidden gems in OpenEMR - probably Rod’s creation.

If you log on to http://demo.open-emr.org:2089/openemr, select first patient and use popup -> Letter, you can be first nut_case!

Thank you all for the information. I will look into these options. I thought there is a way to do this with the Based-Layout. However, there are other easier options and that’s great.

Pimm: Thanks for your help in previous post. I have extracted, converted, and imported all my patient’s data from Medisoft into OpenEMR! It’s a wonderful feeling not to be trapped in that software.

I just added SCHOOL/Work notes in the same Demo. Not as sophisticated as POPUPS, definitely not a Lay-out based form, but for this is more than enough, just to let you know it is there. (look under administrative, top level row in encounter)

I think the demo resets itself and I can’t find the note in Administrative. Would you upload it again and show me how you go about adding it in OpenEMR? I like the option in Popup, but I like to have a copy of the note in the encounter for future reference also. Thanks

I’ve found the form but it doesn’t have the print function (in PDF or HTM). Is there a way to add the print button in the form?

indeed I think it might reset.

If reset has happened Goto Administrations, Forms

activate School/Work notes ; register in database and click on notes… the steps are logic and easy so I may have given the wrong words, but it is not complicated.

After this the Notes/school will show in Miscellaneous or if you give them the correct Category in Forms inde Administrative or Clinical.

I saw the notes/School in the demo just seconds ago. If you encounter problems, let me know, I will create the steps with more correct wording to activate etc.
