Multiple fee schedules

I’m working in OpenEMR v5.0.0

I have a standard charge for my services. But with medicare patients, I charge the limiting charge.

The codes list view allows me to assign the Standard Fee to a given procedure. How do I add additional fee options to this list?

And then, how do I assign which fee option (Standard, Medicare, pro bono, . . . ) applies to a given patient?

The Fee sheet has a dropdown list at the bottom for “Default Price Level”, but Standard is the only choice on this list.

It ought to be possible to have more than one price level, and then assign a Default Price Level to a given patient (or link it to their insurance type). The existance of this drop-down list box suggests that this is part of the software package. But I can’t find any documentation on how to activate a second Price Level or schedule.

I need to have a separate fee schedule for medicare patients. I do not accept assignment, and I am not legally allowed to charge them more than the Medicare Maximum Allowable Charge.

SOLUTION:

[Guided by http://open-emr.org/wiki/index.php/OpenEMR_4.2.0_Fee_Sheet_Custom_Service_Categories#2._Configure_for_price_levels_if_desired]

Additional price levels can be configured by going to Administration/Lists and editing the Price List.

Once the new category has been added, you can go to Administration/Codes, and search CPT4 Procedure/Service.

This will bring up a list of all the CPT codes you have entered into the system. A new column is now present on this list for your new price category, and you can edit the list line by line to add your price for the new category into this column.
