Just a little note about an wonderful meeting we had here in Portland Oregon with Rasmus, the inventor of PHP. He was the guest speaker that the PDXPHP user group meeting this month. He was in town for the OSBridge conference and volunteered to speak, free of charge.
He works at Yahoo.com and is a performance and security expert. He had a great deal to say about both and had excellent examples of ways to improve both.
Over beers at the bar later, I attempted to convince him to come talk at the FOSS conference in Houston in July … he’s Danish and it’s hot in July, so it will be a hard sell
