WHY AM I FINDING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET RID OF THE OPENEMR LOGO ON THE LOGIN SCREEN? EVEN IF I DELETE THE LOGO FROM MY SERER I STILL SEE IT WHEN I RELOAD THE PAGE, AND EVEN IF I CLEAR OUT MY CACHE, IT STILL SHOWS UP.

Hi Golden
May I ask you why do you want to get rid of the openemr logo?

Hello Golden-

What process are you following to delete the file(s)?

The logos’ location is /var/www/openemr/interface/pic/
logo.gif is the openemr banner across the top.
logo.jpg is the caduseus in the login panel.

Delete the files, clear the web cache, stop then restart OpenEMR.

Alternatively, consider creating blank / transparent graphic files with the same names and replacing the originals.

Hi Golden-

Ok, I looked at my notes rather than my memory.

The OpenEMR login screen **banner **logo is /openemr/interface/pic/logo.gif
The caduceus logo is /var/www/openemr/sites/default/images/login_logo.gif

If you want to remove either one consider replacing it with a blank or different gif. Simply renaming or deleting the default gif file will leave that little ‘missing picture’ icon where it used to be.

The banner gif should be 611x110px.
The standard caduceus gif is appx 250px square. Size your replacement as you wish.

In both cases, as root (or using a filemanager as superuser) simply rename or replace the gif file (make sure file permissions are right), flush your browser cache and restart (not just refresh) your browser. That has cleared and put back the logos on my local machine about 3 times just now.

Good luck- Harley
