Is there any update on UB-04 forms and billing? - Or is there a conversion method from CMS-1500?

Good day,

We are required to submit some of our claims via UB-04 form instead of CMS-1500. Will UB-04 billing functionality come to Open EMR, or can someone suggest how to create billing other than CMS-1500 forms?

I looked through the forums but could not find an answer.

Thanks.

UB04 and their sister X12 837i are not supported by OpenEMR at this time. There are a few requests for it, but none that have been funded as yet.

One would have to create the UB equivalent of the gen_x12_837 and the gen_hcfa_1500 programs.

There might also need to be data collected for institutional claims that is not available, and of course you will need to add the UB revenue code set to the system.

I have a working setup. I am setting defaults and trying to improve the flow. I have a customer coming up on it soon.

I added a few of the screen shots.

Very interested in UB04 billing; would like to help if possible; we can offer QA and feedback for an Alpha release for example. Also willing to help fund an OEMR push to get this officially supported.

Please contact jeff At basurgical com

thx

Easier if you click on the link below Terry’s Gravatar image to send him a message.

You can ask Terry & Brady if a mockup will be possible on one of the Up For Grabs Demo’s.

Hi,
Will be happy to set a Up For Grabs demo when code is on github. Agree with fsgl to contact Terry, especially if willing to help test/fund.
