Argghhh, it seems my last reply didn’t actually get posted. If it did, forgive this from-memory duplicate.
Thanks for the historical perspective, indeed the latest of the provided links is over three years old. That in itself tells me something.
As I said in the original message, there doesn’t seem to be a mailing list, hence my question here. The fact that child URLs of the open-health.com web site all seem to be dead (or the software running the site is down) and have been for months, leads me to believe the project must be dead, or at least not very active. I’ll try to ping Fred Trotter and see if he will comment here.
By the way, I’m comparing open source EMR systems to install in a new medical clinic here in rural Ecuador, where I work as the volunteer IT guy. It appears to me the most active are OpenEMR and OpenMRS. So far, the clinic staff have been more impressed with OpenEMR, so it is probably what we will go with (which will no doubt lead to a plethora of silly questions from yours truly :-). As a retired software engineer, I’d prefer to work with my lingua franca Java, but hopefully I’ll get my head around PHP.
HI all. ClearHealth is no longer being supported or managed by Dave Ulhman, however the OEMR was asked to take it on to keep it from disappearing. However this will take a long time to pull off due to the work loads of the various players (Dave, Fred Trotter, Tony, etc …)
Most of the programming is done. What is nice, the Spanish translation is about 100%.
Twaeking to th doctores whishes, there might be a lot in place, only have to find the correct place to activate and integrate the wishes.
There are also efforts that are in a very, almost ready to publish state, like Procedures, (Lab and Xray etc) graphing values and Documents with insert field etc.
Let us know where they (Ecuadorian doctores) are heading. There might be a solution without programming, but with some extra install efforts.
