I wanted to add a text area field in the insurance module under each insurance for Insurance Notes (we check specific insurance codes for behavioral health, and we keep track of the types of sessions covered). I’m familiar with updating layouts, including the demographics layout, but don’t see where I have access to the insurance module. Is this possible for me to update myself?
Just a suggestion… Insurance coverage is typically tied to the group. Without knowing details of your situation, if you do not have 100s of patients belonging to same group, it would be easier to do following:
- Create a list of all insurance codes you need to track.
- Add a new field to DEM layout with list from prior step as source.
- Staff can select the codes applicable to patient’s insurance whenever insurance information is added/changed.
