ICD9 to ICD10 Migration

I am gonna migrate ICD9 to ICD10.

What are the procedures and precautionary steps, Do I have to take.

Can anyone suggest me?

If the practice is based in the U.S., there is really no rush.

Some clearinghouses have yet to test ICD-10,

There is also the possibility of yet another delay in implementation.

If waiting makes you uneasy, take your 20 most commonly used codes & use this to convert so you will be ready when the change is actually implemented.

No reason to load the whole kit & kaboodle.

Hi Stephen,

The Legislative branch does not talk to the Executive branch & vice versa. I’m referring to the entire MU business.

If the big EHR vendors are not ready by the deadline, their lobbyists will do their thing. Presto! Another delay.

In any event, I have my trusty little converter for the handful of diagnosis codes. Deadline or no, we will be ready.
