On a windows box we install PDF reDirect v2. This includes a PDF Print driver. When a patient requests a copy of their record we simple go to reports check all items required and print via the PDF Driver. The application has Encryption and password protection. We then ask the patient to input a password select encrypt and give them the pdf.
