How to program to generate a respond or thank you letter to a referral doctor?

I would like to have a quick way to generate a thank you letter to a referral doctor or a referral source by using the informations from the SOAP note. I also would like this letter to be saved in the Encounter area. Thanks.

Hi OEMR User,

You can create letter using the option available under “popups -> Letter” at the bottom left corner of the screen after selecting a patient.

This could be used to create template as per requirement and processed in the form of html or a pdf to the receiver through mail.

We can get this saved in encounter through code customizations.

Attached the relevant screenshot.

Hi,

We suggest you to use LBF forms (similar to the SOAP notes) to generate a Thank You Letter and save the same in the Encounter area. Refer the following links to create LBF forms:

To print the letter, you can go to Patient Demographics screen and select Reports. Under this section, select ‘Encounters and Forms’ and print the required forms.
