Once I have created an encounter and assigned a billing code for it.How to submit a claim for it?
Under billing manager you can create the claim and the 837 file. I own a clearinghouse and my module is in OpenEMR, if you’d like you can send the claims to me and I’ll scrub and forward them to the payer.

As @brad implies, a clearinghouse is the entry point of a claim for being processed. But before the claims ever reach the clearinghouse they must be generated properly with the correct data.

For some mysterious reason I only put it on the OpenEMR v6 user guide even though the instructions apply to all versions since v4.0 and the interface is pretty close in all versions since 5. I hope to correct that real soon!
