Just wanted to give the community a heads up. I am a part time user of OpenEMR. I am certified in HL7 CDA. If I can be of any use in incorporating the MUse requirement for the CCD document please let me know. Also I have noticed EMR’s import the CCD in different ways. Some yes it’s the standard to be human readible via a browser but over 1/2 EMR’s import the CCD as a pdf which requires staff to enter medications, problem list manually into the tabs of the chart. The best way to import the CCD document is File Import and the medications get put in the medication list, problems in the problem list upon import no manual entry. We use a MySQL database I believe with help this is doable and with this functionality will be a big bonus for use. It’s all about exchanging information from here on in.
