Can anyone please help, ive just installed openemr, using the step by step guide however its now telling me to go to the installation script in my web browser to complete configuration- however its saying page cannot be dsplayed! Can anyone help? I have installed the Xampp pack, and have started up apache, mysql wtc. The link it says to go to configure open emr is: http://localhost/openenr/setup.php. is this right? where do i enter this address?

Just pull up a web browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer and type that in the address area. I bet that will work for you.

Hmm… You can try typing in just the http://localhost without the /openemr subdirectory.
If Apache web server is working, it will say “It works!”;
If not, then you have a problem with the Apache web server and not OpenEMR.
If that works, then you will want to be sure you know into which directory you placed openemr. You will want to be sure it is placed in the directory which is served by the web server. (I do not recall offhand what that is for the Windows package, but it should be something you can look up.)

Don’t forget to start the apache server and mysql. I use .\xampp\xampp-control.exe instead of installing it as a service in windows.

Have managed to get it to work at last!! Thanks for the help! But now im getting a couple of error messages :( I have posted them in the “help” section of this forum- any help with these please ??
