Hello everyone, I am new to using OpenEMR and have a few questions to ask.
I am trying to set up the calendar for providers. I need the “In Office” category to repeat every weekday, but when I check that option during setup and click accept, nothing happens. I have reviewed the section “HOWTO:_Create_and_Delete_Recurring_Calendar_Events,” followed the steps, and have not been successful. When I do it manually day by day, it works. I would like to know if I am doing something wrong. Thank you in advance for your willingness to help, and I apologize for any inconvenience!
Hello @mau Welcome to the OpenEMR community and forum.
The calendar dialog is complex and one mis- configured setting can prevent it from working. If it works day by day the problem is probably because of some not- obvious control that is not set right.
What do you mean, it ‘doesn’t work’? Pls show the calendar and how it is not working.
Also please post a screenshot of your Provider tab showing the settings for the ‘In Office’ schedule item that does not ‘work’.
Thank you very much for your response. What I was trying to do is set the “In Office” category to repeat every weekday. The issue was that saving a repeated event (such as ‘provider in office,’ ‘lunch,’ etc.) did not work—no event was saved. However, saving an event for an individual day did work.
The solution I found was to set an end date for the event, and with that, the problem has been resolved. I’m sorry for my english by the way! I truly appreciate your willingness to help!

I’m glad you solved your problem. I checked and the need for an end date is described in the wiki instructions for repeating events that you referenced. I know the instructions can be very complex, and they must be read carefully so nothing is missed.
Your English is quite good, by the way, but in future questions to the forum it it would be helpful to include screenshots of the problem.
