Github version of openemr

I downloaded the most recent version today for windows 10 and XAMPP control panel v3.2.4
I get to step 2, but there is “enter” or “next” button.
I enter all the information. See image:

I have tried chrome, firefox, and edge.
My unix server is down, and I have been trying to restore my database in a windows machine.
thanks

Hmm, I thought you were trying to get your v5 stable. Any reason why you’re poking around with master?

Mostly you will not get a button to move on until you fulfill all the required fields in the form. In this case looks like you’re missing root password.

My server broke
I am trying to recover my database. No, I did fill in everything
I just took it off for the pics

lol, The server just broke or did you break it?
I don’t think installing v6 is going to help you out too much unless you want to use it in production where there is nothing wrong with that. Still you’d want to recover your database and upgrade it.
Is it backed up or are you trying to recover from mysql/maria?
What is broken about database that inspired you to reinstall/new install openemr?

Oh, most definitely, I broke it big time, I think
Unless there was a problem with the RAID controller which I had ignored which finally caused it to die. In which case I broke it by ignoring it. I am setting up a new server. But in the mean time I need my schedule.
I want to restore my database and documents from backup. You are right, it should be the same version thought right?

Sandra

I’d think once you have a functioning server then simply create an openemr dir in your document root and unarc your back up inside openemr dir. That is if a full backup. If not then you’ll need to import your sql backup and move/reinstall openemr directory tree on new server. Then copy/ensure your openemr/site dir (from old source tree)to new install.

hmm, I didn’t think of that, I was going about it the long way.
@sjpadgett
Do you think though that because I had so many problems with my stack, maybe I would start fresh? I wonder if there are things that did not get done in the database or in the documents

thanks

I would not start fresh as you’ll lose your existing setup and documents. Just soldier on Sandra and you’ll end up learning a lot.

I personally think you should have stayed with apache as many of your issues have been with nginx.

@gutiersa Can you go with a cloud hosted solution such as Amazon Lightsail? Lightsail VMs are cheap, fast, and reliable. You could use Lightsail with something like Virtualmin that makes setting up LAMP very easy.
